Bridon Honoured in Mayoral Business Safari

On Monday 19th September 2011, Bridon was honoured by a visit from the leading lights of Doncaster’s business community, including Mayor of Doncaster, Peter Davies, Doncaster Chamber President, Nigel Brewster and Chamber CEO, Howard Gannaway.

Embarking on the first step of their local ‘trade mission’, the Doncaster dignitaries’ toured businesses that have helped shaped the region’s business landscape, starting with Bridon and Keepmoat. Acknowledging Bridon’s proud history in the region, and its contribution to making Doncaster a world-renowned manufacturing site, the visitors were treated to a factory tour and a presentation by Bridon’s Global Director of Operational Change, John Churchfield.

The Mayor is responsible for Doncaster’s Business and Enterprise Portfolio, with a remit is to improve business conditions throughout the Borough. The tour of local businesses is designed to expand the influence of the work already undertaken by Doncaster Chamber, whose representatives spend time understanding the workings of local business in order to inform local, regional and national policy decisions.
