We are very pleased to confirm that today Bridon have acquired the moorings business of ScanRope from the Parker Hannifin Corporation, a deal that will mean ScanRope’s deep water moorings assets transfer to Bridon Holdings Limited.
Together, we will continue to strive in providing first class service and deliver to the highest standards we set ourselves as global technology leaders in the manufacture of wire and fibre rope, a view very much shared by the ScanRope team.
With ScanRope, the Bridon Group now employs over 1,700 employees globally.
Bridon is a global business with UK Head Office that manufactures wire and rope solutions for the world’s most demanding applications. Bridon operates across several sectors including Oil & Gas, Mining, Construction, Fishing & Marine and Crane and Industrial.
Bridon was originally formed in 1924 from an amalgamation of wire rope producers, the earliest of which date back to the late 18th century. Bridon was acquired by Ontario Teachers Plan (OTPP) in November 2014 from Melrose PLC. Bridon now operates twelve manufacturing units worldwide with market focused technical and sales offices, supported by a global network of agents and distributors.
“We are excited to be able to make this announcement and see the joining of two industry leaders in the permanent mooring sector of oil and gas.”
